Helping Western New York Families
Affected By Pediatric Cancerandrew masse

Backyard Broadway is Buffalo based fundraising organization founded by Camryn Clune when she was just 9 years old. Camryn Clune in 2009, began using her passion for the performing arts  to help children and families affected by pediatric cancer. Over the past 8 years, she has raised over $50,000 for local families. In 2014, at the age of 14, she had met Andrew Masse – an 8 year old boy who had just been diagnosed with brain cancer.

bb 5She and Backyard Broadway team joined together and held a musical event and raised over $4,000 to help Andrew’s family with their medical costs.

That event also had an unexpected outcome. These two families, became friends and were driven to help more families in need. They formed an official partnership – a 501c3 that would help as many Western New York families possible with their mounting medical bills due to a long term childhood illness.

Camryn age 17 now, remains active using her Backyard Broadway musical events and fundraisers to help them.
